Introduction
Welcome to ROD SOCIETY, a platform for finding fishing guides in selected locations. By using our website and/or booking our advertised expeditions, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Services Offered
We, ROD SOCIETY S.R.L., a limited liability company with registered office at Via Giorgio Washington 56, 20146 Milan (MI), Italy, Tax Code and VAT No. 14310540969, manage and operate the ROD SOCIETY platform. Our platform is available worldwide in various languages and is designed to be fast and easy to use.
We operate ROD SOCIETY as an intermediary platform where guided tours and tourist activities (collectively "Activities") are offered online by various local activity providers, such as fishing guides, fishing lodges, and B&Bs around the world ("Providers"). Activities include guided tours, fishing expeditions, courses, and day trips.
Booking Agent Status: ROD SOCIETY acts solely as a booking agent, facilitating the arrangement of fishing guide services. We do not directly provide fishing services but connect customers with experienced and qualified guides.
The fishing guides (Providers) with whom ROD SOCIETY works have entered into a mandate agreement with ROD SOCIETY S.R.L. to manage bookings and customer relations. This means ROD SOCIETY acts as the commercial representative of the guides and is responsible for facilitating and intermediating the contract between the user and the guide.
Types of Services
ROD SOCIETY offers two distinct types of services, each governed by a different contractual structure. Users should read this section carefully before booking.
Day Trips and Single Guided Experiences
For single-day fishing experiences and individual guided sessions, ROD SOCIETY acts as the commercial agent of the fishing guide (Provider). The contract for the activity is concluded directly and exclusively between the user and the Provider. ROD SOCIETY facilitates the booking, manages client communication, and collects payment on behalf of the Provider. ROD SOCIETY is not a party to the service contract and assumes no liability for the execution of the activity.
Travel Packages
For multi-day travel packages that include accommodation, transfers, and other logistical services, ROD SOCIETY acts solely as a sales and referral intermediary. These packages are organized and operated by a licensed third-party tour operator: Free World Travel and Consulting SA (Swiss company register no. CH-501.3.018.578-4) ("Tour Operator"). By purchasing a travel package through ROD SOCIETY, the user enters into a direct contractual relationship with the Tour Operator, who assumes full legal responsibility for the organization and execution of the package, including compliance with applicable tourism regulations. ROD SOCIETY is not a party to that contract and assumes no liability whatsoever for the Tour Operator's services. The Tour Operator's own terms and conditions apply to travel packages and will be provided to the user at the time of booking.
Responsibility
The client acknowledges that ROD SOCIETY has no responsibility for the execution of excursions. Fishing guides declare they have all the legal and fiscal permits to operate in their respective locations and are solely responsible for the safety and well-being of participants during activities.
Assumption of Risk: Engaging in fishing activities involves inherent risks. By booking through ROD SOCIETY, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with fishing trips, including but not limited to physical activity, water-related hazards, inclement weather, and exposure to natural environments.
Provider Selection: ROD SOCIETY exercises reasonable care in selecting Providers listed on the platform, but makes no warranty regarding their qualifications, licensing, or fitness for any particular purpose. Users acknowledge that ROD SOCIETY's role is limited to facilitating the connection between users and Providers, and that ROD SOCIETY is not liable for any misrepresentation or omission by Providers.
Activities and Contracts
Our activities are visible on the ROD SOCIETY platform. The contract for the provision of the activity is concluded exclusively and directly between the user and the provider ("service contract"). By purchasing an activity on our platform, the user buys directly from the provider, not from us.
Performance agreements are concluded by us in the name and on behalf of the providers. We are authorized by the providers to conclude transactions, collect payments, and manage client communication on their behalf.
ROD SOCIETY collects payments from users and retains a commission for its services. The remaining amount is paid to the guide after the fishing experience is completed. The guide agrees to provide services at the agreed price and is responsible for issuing invoices to users.
We do not organize or operate the fishing experiences ourselves and do not become a contractual party in the service contracts. We are not organizers, lessors, sellers, or otherwise legally responsible for the activity.
Limitation of Liability
ROD SOCIETY, its employees, company directors, partners, affiliates, and any associated third parties shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injuries, or death arising from use of the platform or participation in any activity booked through us.
We are not liable for the actions, omissions, or negligence of fishing guides, who operate independently. Both guides and clients indemnify ROD SOCIETY from any claims or liabilities arising from their conduct, including during the course of a booked activity.
Limitation of Claims: Any claim arising out of or related to a booking or activity must be submitted in writing to ROD SOCIETY within 90 days of the date of the activity. Failure to submit a claim within this period constitutes a waiver of any rights to seek any remedy.
Commercial Agent Responsibilities
As the provider's commercial agent, we are the user's point of contact for matters concerning booking and payment. Users may contact us to request a refund outside of our standard cancellation policy. We will forward the request to the provider, who retains full discretion to approve or deny it. If a refund is approved, it will be processed through us.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking up to 14 days before the scheduled expedition date. A full refund of your deposit is available only if you purchased the Flex Cancellation add-on at checkout. Without the Flex Cancellation add-on, deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the expedition are not eligible for a refund of the deposit, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Special Conditions for Travel Packages:
Travel Packages Including Accommodation: For travel packages that include accommodation, a deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. The full payment must be made within 45 days of the expedition date. Both the deposit and the full payment are non-refundable. However, in the event of adverse weather conditions or other circumstances that make fishing impossible, the affected fishing days will be refunded at a rate determined and agreed upon in advance. Accommodation and other non-fishing services will not be refunded. Cancellation terms specific to the Tour Operator may also apply and will be communicated at the time of booking.
Execution of Activity
7.1 User Responsibilities
7.1.1 The user must arrive punctually at the meeting point communicated by the provider. Users are responsible for reading and accepting any additional T&Cs from providers. If traveling from abroad, users are responsible for their own documentation, visas, health requirements, and compliance with travel regulations.
7.1.2 Insurance is not included in any activity booking. Users are solely responsible for obtaining adequate travel and personal insurance, especially for outdoor and potentially high-risk activities. We strongly advise purchasing appropriate coverage prior to the activity.
7.1.3 Users must provide accurate and truthful information during the booking process, including personal details (such as name, date of birth, and contact information), medical conditions, allergies, physical fitness, and fishing skill level. This information is critical for ensuring the guide can plan a safe and appropriate experience. ROD SOCIETY and the providers are not responsible for issues arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted information.
7.1.4 Guides are independent providers and not employees or legal representatives of ROD SOCIETY. We are not liable for any actions, misrepresentations, or negligence on their part, nor for damage to persons or property, or any other loss arising from the activities they deliver.
7.2 Provider Responsibilities
7.2.1 The provider may cancel an activity without prior notice if weather conditions, government restrictions, strikes, or other uncontrollable events (including force majeure) make the activity impossible or unsafe. In this case, the user will be refunded the full booking price.

Changes to Terms
ROD SOCIETY reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Users are encouraged to review this page regularly. Continued use of the platform after changes implies acceptance.
Dispute Resolution
The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation before initiating formal proceedings. If negotiation fails within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the Camera Arbitrale di Milano, conducted in Milan, Italy, in the English language.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Italian law, and any dispute arising from or related to these terms will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy. By accepting these terms, the user expressly waives any right to bring claims in any other jurisdiction, including but not limited to courts in the United States or any other country.
