ABOUT US
The world's finest waters.
Expertly planned. Personally scouted. Unforgettable.
How we started
Rod Society was born from years of passion for fishing and travel. One day, we found ourselves in Patagonia, eager to fish but without waders and surrounded by countless rivers.
We didn't know where to cast. So we started looking for the best fly fishing guides in the area and for equipment. It was long and not easy. Luckily we had weeks of vacation. And that's where the idea started…

And what it became
From fly fishing with the best guides, Rod Society evolved into something greater: a platform to discover the finest experiences with local fly fishing guides in stunning destinations.
A place where, no matter what you choose, you're guaranteed a top-class, hassle-free adventure.
We're not just professionals with years of experience; we are our first customers. We know what it takes to have a great fishing day. It's not just about catching fish — it's about immersing yourself in the environment, enjoying a wonderful day in nature, and focusing on nothing but casting your fly.
"Every trip we sell is one we'd book ourselves"
Why Rod Society
We're not a traditional travel agency. Rod Society is a curated network of independent, handpicked guides — paired with everything you need to fish at your best.
Destinations worth the journey
Every location in our portfolio has been personally scouted by our team. We go looking for rivers that offer something exceptional
Guides who define the experience
The quality of a fishing trip lives and dies with the guide. Ours are the best on their rivers — selected after fishing with them, not just researching them.
Premium gear, already there
You don't need to worry about bringing a rod, line, reel, or flies. We have everything you need, and it's all premium quality.
Trips built around you
Whether you're planning a full expedition or adding a day on the water to an existing trip, we design the experience around what you're looking for — not around a fixed package.
White-glove planning, end to end
From the first conversation to the last transfer, we handle every detail. Our job is to make sure the only thing on your mind when you reach the river is the fishing.
Our Guides
Every guide in our network has been personally selected — fished with, vetted, and trusted. We don't post applications. We go looking for the best people on the best rivers. Being a great fishing guide takes more than technique. It takes patience, local knowledge, and the ability to read both water and people.
That's what we look for.
Carma
Owner of an online fishing shop specializing in 3D-printed tackle, Carma turned fly fishing into his profession years ago. He guides in Trentino, and together we created the Fish & Bike experience in the Dolomites — one of our most beloved itineraries.
Hernan
The first guide to believe in Rod Society and join our team. Hernan is the one who sparked everything — it was fishing with him in Patagonia that made us fall completely in love with guided trips. He is the master of the Nahuel Huapi, runs over 250 outings a year, and drinks its water. Fishing the Nahuel with Hernan is like stepping into a cathedral.

Local in the deepest sense
Our guides have spent years — often lifetimes — on the rivers they fish. They understand the seasonal rhythms, the overlooked spots, the conditions that make a given day extraordinary. That local depth is something no itinerary can replicate. It's why we invest so much in finding the right people, and why it takes time before anyone earns a place in our network.
A guide is also a host
The best days on the water aren't just about catching fish. They're about being in the right place with someone who makes the experience richer — someone who can read both the river and the person standing in it. Our guides are chosen as much for who they are as for what they know.
Our Team
Three people who actually fish. Fifty guides we'd trust with our own rods.

Andrea
Founder & Itinerary Scout
Andrea has been fly fishing since the age of six. Before Rod Society, he spent a decade building some of Europe's most ambitious tech companies — then traded the boardroom for the riverbank and never looked back. He has fished on five continents, and his conviction that fishing travel deserved something better is what started it all.
His favorite itineraries?
The Nahuel Huapi in Patagonia, the limestone streams outside Naples, and the remote backcountry rivers of New Zealand's South Island.

Melissa
Social Media Manager
Melissa started her career as a psychotherapist, then fly fishing got in the way — and she never went back. Influencer, artist, and genuinely exceptional angler, she is the creative mind behind everything Rod Society puts out on social. If you've ever sent a DM on Instagram, she's the one who replied.
Her favorite itineraries?
The French Pyrenees for euro nymphing, and the Dolomites when the dry fly fishing is on.

Georgia
Fishing Travel Manager
Georgia grew up chasing striped bass on the New England flats, but eight years living in London gave her fishing a whole new geography. She worked her way across Europe's finest rivers from the chalk streams of the Test to the marble trout waters of Slovenia’s Soča River. She now manages the logistics and travel planning behind every Rod Society trip.
Her favorite itineraries? Slovenia and western Ireland hunting big trout
