Fly fishing in Argentina

Argentina offers two completely different fishing experiences and most anglers only know about one of them. Patagonia is the famous one: clear glacial rivers, enormous brown trout, big skies, and the kind of scenery that makes you understand why people plan trips around it for years. We fish the Limay system out of Bariloche and the rivers around San Martín de los Andes: some of Patagonia's most productive and visually spectacular water. The migratory brown trout runs on the Limay from January through March concentrate fish in numbers that are unlike anything else in the region. Buenos Aires is the other one and it surprises every angler who experiences it. Golden dorado on the fly, in the river delta just outside one of South America's greatest cities. The dorado is a pure freshwater predator: aggressive, fast, and violent on a fly. It's the kind of fishing that makes experienced anglers question every trip they've taken before.
