The fly fishing season in France
France fishes from March through October across most rivers, with sea bass on the Brittany coast available almost year-round. The Pyrenees are at their best in June and July for dry fly, and again in September. Summer pushes anglers to higher altitude streams where water stays cold and fish stay active.

Depending on the region: wild brown trout and grayling in the Pyrenees and Alpes Maritimes and sea bass along the Brittany coast. France is one of the few countries where you can chase trout in the mountains and sea bass on the coast in the same week. Stocked fish are virtually absent across all the waters we fish.
